Farm tractors and combines are another example of volume freight moved by specialized carriers. LTG frequently transports this type of equipment instead of deadheading when transitioning our equipment from one over-height project to the next.
We don't move a high volume of ag equipment, but when we transport ag equipment, we mainly pick up John Deere, Case, and New Holland tractors and combines at the factory and deliver primarily to dealerships and sea ports. We also transport balers and planters. The unusually long deck and low deck height of our mini deck Removable Gooseneck (RGN) trailers makes it easier to transport tall ag equipment. All our drivers have TWIC cards and can enter any U.S. port. We also have the ability to handle loads up to 51' long at lower deck heights than almost any other carrier.
